Monsters Unveil in Sequel to Sci-Fi Classic

In the world of gaming, rifts are rarely good news. However, Avid Games has embraced this concept wholeheartedly in Eerie Worlds, the highly anticipated sequel to the charming tactical CCG, Cards, the Universe and Everything. While fun and learning remain central, this iteration focuses on monsters – specifically, monsters emerging from rifts.

Avid Games has crafted a visually stunning array of monsters, each inspired by real-world horrors from diverse mythologies and folklore. From Japanese Yokai like Jikininki and Kuchisake-onna to Slavic creatures such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav, the game boasts a truly global bestiary. Bigfoot, Mothman, the Nandi Bear, El Chupacabra, and countless others populate this terrifying menagerie, each accompanied by a detailed, well-researched description.

Eerie Worlds features four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, introducing significant tactical depth through varied monster properties. Players build their personal monster collection, known as a Grimoire, by merging duplicate cards from the 160 base cards. This merging mechanic unlocks numerous additional cards, with more promised in future updates. Avid Games plans to release two more Hordes in the coming months, ensuring continued engagement and replayability.

Gameplay involves a deck of nine monster cards and one world card, deployed over nine 30-second turns. Strategic decisions regarding mana usage and synergy exploitation are paramount. With its intricate mechanics, Eerie Worlds presents a challenging yet rewarding experience. Download it for free now on the Google Play Store and the App Store.
