Nintendo's Alarmo Alarm Clock: Wider Release and Enhanced Features
Nintendo's innovative alarm clock, Alarmo, is set for a broader retail launch in March 2025, as announced via the company's Twitter (X) account. Initially requiring a Nintendo Online subscription, this restriction will be removed for the expanded release, making it accessible to all. Alarmo will be available at major retailers such as Target, Walmart, GameStop, and other authorized retailers worldwide for $99.99 USD.
The initial release saw immediate popularity, leading to sell-outs and a lottery system implemented in Japan to manage demand. Even in New York City, Alarmo quickly sold out.
Key Features:
Alarmo boasts a unique interactive experience, featuring charming game characters and sounds from popular Nintendo titles like Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Splatoon 3. Users can select from 42 scenes, with more planned as free updates.
The alarm's gentle start features a character waking up, followed by a visitor. Users can quiet the alarm with a simple hand wave or body movement. Persistent slumber brings a more insistent visitor and amplified sound, ensuring you're motivated to rise. The motion sensor allows for silencing without touching the device.
Beyond its core functionality, Alarmo offers hourly chimes, sleep sounds themed to the selected scene, and sleep pattern tracking. For shared beds with pets or others, a "Button Mode" is recommended.
The expanded March 2025 release promises to make this innovative alarm clock widely available, offering a fun and engaging way to start the day for Nintendo fans and newcomers alike.
