How to Trade in Path of Exile 2
Path of Exile 2 offers two primary trading methods: direct player-to-player exchanges within the game and utilizing the official trade website. Both are explained below.
In-Game Trading
If you share a game instance with another player, right-click their character and select "Trade." Both players then select their trade items. Once both agree, confirm the trade to finalize the exchange.
Alternatively, use the global or direct message chat functions. Right-click a player's name in the chat, invite them to your party, teleport to their location, and then right-click their character to initiate trading.
Path of Exile 2 Trade Market
Path of Exile 2 features an online auction-style marketplace accessible via the official trade website (link provided). Note: a connected PoE account is required, linked to your gaming platform.
To purchase items, utilize the website's filters to locate desired items. Clicking the "Direct Whisper" button sends an in-game private message to the seller, initiating communication and arranging a meeting for the transaction.
Selling items requires a Premium Stash Tab, purchasable from the in-game Microtransaction Shop. Place the item in the Premium Stash and set it to "Public." Right-clicking the item allows price setting, automatically listing it on the trade website. After a buyer contacts you via in-game message, coordinate the trade.
