What's in Store in the New Year's 2025 Event in Pokémon Go?
The New Year's 2025 event in Pokémon Go is set to run from December 30th, 2024, at 10:00 am to January 1st, 2025, at 8:00 pm. While there are no new Pokémon, Shinies, or costumes this year, which might be a slight disappointment, there are still plenty of exciting features to enjoy.
Wild spawns will feature Jigglypuff adorned with a ribbon, Hoothoot dressed in a New Year's outfit, and Wurmple sporting a party hat, all of which have the potential to be Shiny. Event bonuses include 2,025 XP for Excellent Throws and festive fireworks lighting up the skies, adding a special touch to your gameplay.
Tier One raids will showcase Pikachu wearing a snowflake beanie, while Tier Three raids will feature Raticate and Wobbuffet, both donning party hats, with increased chances of encountering Shiny versions. Additionally, Field Research tasks and PokéStop Showcases will offer encounters with themed Pokémon, so be sure to keep an eye out for these opportunities.
