Potential Pokemon Legends: Z-A Release Date Leaks Online

Pokémon Legends: Z-A: August 15, 2025 Release Date Leak

A potential release date for Pokémon Legends: Z-A has surfaced online, pointing towards an August 15, 2025 launch. This date, reportedly discovered via a brief listing on Amazon UK in early January 2025, aligns with The Pokémon Company's previously stated release window.

Initially unveiled during the 2024 Pokémon Day celebrations in February, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is anticipated as a sequel to the 2022 hit, Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The game, much like its predecessor, is expected to prioritize exploration and collection over traditional elements like gym battles and the Pokémon League. Since its announcement, official details have been scarce.

The Amazon UK listing, spotted by content creator Light88, quickly disappeared, reverting to a December 31 placeholder. However, the August 15th date fits within the previously announced 2025 release window.

February 2025 Confirmation Possible

Whether the leaked date is accurate remains to be seen. However, the official release date may be revealed sooner than expected. Given the game's initial announcement during Pokémon Day 2024, a similar reveal during the 2025 event (February 27th) is highly plausible. This date coincides with the Japanese release of the original Pokémon Red and Green, and recent findings from a Pokémon GO datamine support this prediction.

Beyond the release date, fans eagerly await a gameplay reveal, which could also debut during the February 27th Pokémon Presents broadcast.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is confirmed for Nintendo Switch, and will also be playable on the upcoming Switch 2, thanks to backward compatibility. While past mainline Pokémon titles have included paid DLC, Pokémon Legends: Arceus only received one free post-launch update, "Daybreak."
