Popular Classic Card Game: Seven Bridges
Overview:
Seven Bridges is a captivating Japanese card game blending elements of Rummy and Mahjong. The objective is simple: be the first to empty your hand. Players achieve this by forming melds – combinations of cards with the same number (groups) or consecutive numbers of the same suit (sequences) – and laying them down. Additional points are scored by tagging other players' melds, utilizing their discards to create Pongs or Chis (matching sets or runs). Unlike Mahjong's complexity, Seven Bridges features only seven cards per hand and two meld types, making it accessible to newcomers. Scoring is determined by the remaining cards in opponents' hands at the end of a round. Strategic play involves balancing the risk of revealing melds to reduce your score against the risk of having them tagged by opponents. This classic card game provides engaging entertainment for families and friends of all ages.
