Fake Baldur’s Gate 3 Mobile Port Appears on App Store

A fraudulent Baldur's Gate 3 mobile port has surfaced on the iOS App Store, prompting a warning to players. This fake app, deceptively presented with modified screenshots and a simulated mobile HUD, is free initially but demands a hefty $29.99 monthly subscription fee. Crucially, there is no official mobile version of Baldur's Gate 3.

The app, titled "Baldurs Gate 3 - Mobile Turuk" and developed by "Dmytro Turuk," lacks any mention of Larian Studios or the Dungeons & Dragons franchise, raising immediate red flags. While its deceptive visuals might fool some, the exorbitant subscription cost quickly exposes its fraudulent nature. More concerningly, the app's terms of service suggest it may collect user data, including IP addresses.

This isn't the first instance of a Baldur's Gate 3 scam app; similar attempts have occurred previously. While currently absent from the Android store, gamers on both platforms are urged to exercise caution. If an offer seems too good to be true, it likely is. Larian Studios has not announced any plans for a mobile port of Baldur's Gate 3, though earlier installments are available on mobile platforms. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate also offers streaming access to Baldur's Gate 3. Anyone who downloaded the fraudulent app should delete it immediately. Always verify developer information before installing any app.
