Dungeonborne, a PvPvE action game reminiscent of Dark and Darker, is shutting down. Its creators have announced the end of support and the closure of its servers, effective May 28th. The game, which launched less than a year ago, failed to maintain a substantial player base due to low activity and a lack of substantial updates.
While the Steam page remains accessible via direct link, it's no longer discoverable through the platform's search function. The developers haven't publicly detailed the reasons for closure, but the extremely low player count is undoubtedly a significant factor. Concurrent player numbers dwindled to below 200 in late 2024 and recently plummeted to a mere 10-15.
The server shutdown on May 28th marks the definitive end of Dungeonborne. Despite initial interest from fans of the genre, the game will not reach its full potential.
