In 2025, World of Warcraft will finally introduce its highly anticipated housing system, and Blizzard has unveiled initial details. They've promised accessible homes for all players, eliminating complex requirements, exorbitant prices, or lottery systems. Importantly, your home won't be lost due to lapsed subscriptions. This exciting feature is slated for full release with the Midnight expansion.
Initially, players can select a plot in one of two distinct zones: an Alliance zone (combining elements of Elwynn Forest, Westfall, and Duskwood) or a Horde zone (blending Durotar, Azshara, and the Durotar coastline).
Each zone is divided into districts, each hosting approximately 50 homes. Players can choose to settle in open areas or create private communities with friends and guildmates. A vast array of customization options will be available, with most obtainable in-game, while some will be offered in the shop.
Blizzard emphasizes three core principles guiding the housing system: extensive customization, robust social interaction, and enduring longevity. Further details on the housing system will be revealed in the future, and Blizzard encourages player feedback.
