Remedy Entertainment's annual report confirms significant progress across its development pipeline. Control 2 has cleared the concept validation phase and entered full production, marking a key step forward. This joins two other active projects: FBC: Firebreak and the remakes of Max Payne 1+2. These titles, previously in pre-production, have advanced to the next development stage. However, the Kestrel project, a collaboration with Tencent, has been cancelled.
All projects utilize Remedy's proprietary Northlight engine, previously showcased in Alan Wake 2 and other successful titles. Control 2, budgeted at €50 million, will be self-published by Remedy and launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. FBC: Firebreak, with a €30 million budget, will be available on PlayStation and Xbox subscription services, as well as Steam and the Epic Games Store.
While the budget for the Max Payne 1+2 remakes remains undisclosed, Rockstar Games is fully funding their development and marketing, confirming their AAA status.
