Marvel Rivals Addresses Low FPS Damage Issue
Players of Marvel Rivals experiencing reduced damage output at lower frame rates (FPS) can expect a resolution soon. The developers have acknowledged a bug impacting damage calculations, particularly affecting heroes like Dr. Strange and Wolverine at 30 FPS. This issue, stemming from the game's client-side prediction mechanism, causes inconsistencies in damage dealt compared to higher FPS settings.
The problem manifests most noticeably when attacking stationary targets, making it less apparent during live matches. While heroes such as Magik, Star-Lord, and Venom have also been reported as affected, the developers haven't yet provided a complete list of impacted heroes and abilities. Wolverine's Feral Leap and Savage Claw are confirmed examples.
Launched in early December 2025, Marvel Rivals enjoys an 80% approval rating on Steam, despite initial hero balance concerns. This current FPS bug is being actively addressed. While a precise fix date isn't confirmed, the developers are optimistic that the upcoming Season 1 launch on January 11th will significantly mitigate, if not entirely resolve, the issue. Any remaining problems will be tackled in subsequent updates. The team assures players that a solution is a high priority.
